چکیده
This research was carried out to examine the effects of Sargassum stolonifolium on reducing cadmium in Brassica chinensis L. tissue, its influential roles physiological parameters and antioxidant mechanism B. exposed stress. Different levels Cd (50 mg 100 mg) with without S. (25g, 50g 100g) under five replications were explored this study. Biomass, photosynthetic pigment, relative water content (RWC), malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), total activity (TAA), non-protein thiol (NPT), protein (PT), bound thiol, glutathione (GSH), phytochelatins, ascorbate peroxidase (APX), Catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) guaiacol (POD) determined. The results revealed that stress significantly (P < 0.05) reduced plant biomass attributes, accumulated higher concentrations tissues increasing rate concentration soil. However, incorporation at g 50 (T4) spiked soil increased FW (40.6%) DW (72.2%) respective treatment stolonifolium. Similarly, accumulation roots, stem leaves decreased by 90.25%, 82.93% 84.6% respectively compared T1 Cd) thereby leaf MDA H2O2 contents 40.1% 68.8%, respectively, kg−1 T1. An increase noticed chlorophyll a, b, carotenoid, SPAD RWC a value 114.6%, 20.7%, 73.7%, 44.8%, 6.3%, over control (T0). DPPH scavenging TAA 119.8 81.5% percent T0. Concentration increment NPT, TT, GSH PCs 66.7%, 49.1%, 60.1%, 96.1% 3.4% T4 Antioxidant enzymes activities APX (92.8%), CAT (73.1%), SOD (20.9%) POD (88.9%) for control. has potential improve growth defensive system ameliorate phytotoxicity as well immobilization.

Biochar impact on physiological and biochemical attributes of Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) in nickel contaminated soil
Disastrous effect of nickel on spinach was discussed by number of authors but the effect of amendments like biochar with nickel on Spinacea oleraceaL. is not still discussed by any author of the world because biochar was used as soil amendments which play a vital role in reducing mobilization and uptake of nickel by spinach plants. As nickel contaminated plants are very harmful for th...

Cadmium as a heavy metal is also considered as a serious threat for the environment. This element is accumulated in soil through industrial processes as well as phosphate fertilizers and aggregates into the food chain. This study was conducted in order to investigate the different levels of cadmium effects on growth features of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) plants. Root and shoot weight and heig...
متن کاملEffects of Combined Amendments on Growth and Heavy Metal Uptake by Pakchoi (Brassica chinensis L.) Planted in Contaminated Soil
Remediating soils with heavy metals contamination is a significant challenge. This study investigated the co-remediation effect when paired soil amendment mixtures were used to treat soil contaminated by Pb, Cd, and Zn. The three mixed amendments are: 1) micro particle hydroxyapatite (mHAP) and humic acid 2) nano particle hydroxyapatite (nHAP) and humic acid 3) sepiolite and humic acid. Co-reme...
متن کاملThe Dynamic Growth Exhibition and Accumulation of Cadmium of Pak Choi (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis) Grown in Contaminated Soils
The accumulation of heavy metals, especially cadmium (Cd), in leafy vegetables was compared with other vegetables. Pak choi (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis) is a leafy vegetable consumed in Taiwan and its safety for consumption after growing in contaminated soils is a public concern. A pot experiment (50 days) was conducted to understand the dynamic accumulation of Cd by pak choi grown i...
